한미여성회 The KAWA는 지역사회와 연계하여
멕시코의 집없는 빈민 가정을 위해 집을 지어주는 프로젝을 진행하고 있습니다.
단순히 삶의 터전을 만들어주는것뿐만아니라 한 가정을 세워주고 아이들을 양육해주는 일을 지원하고 있습니다.
산타클라리타에서 한 Pre Build와 Fundraising Garage Sale에는 Jr.KAWA 15명과 30명의 봉사자가 참여했으며 2016년도부터 4개의 집을 지어주며 의료봉사, 옷과 음식을 나누어 주었습니다.
The KAWA, is carrying out a project in cooperation with the local church and non-profit organizations to build a house every year for homeless low income family in Mexico.
We do not just create a place to live, but we also build a family, build relationships, and sponsor and raise children in the same family. The motto of the Korean-American Women's Association, The KAWA is to encourage and empower one person and one family, and share practical help
and love to live a life of new value.
The pre-build and fundraising garage sale in Santa Clarita was attended by 15 Jr. KAWA members and 30 volunteers, and since 2016, the organization has built four houses, provided medical care,
clothing and food.

뜨개질팀 무릎덥개 ( Meals on Wheels)
2011년부터 Meals on Wheels의 요청으로 현재까지 5020이상의 사랑의 무릎덥개를 손수 봉사자들이 떠서 전달하였습니다. 12년동안 일년에 300, 400개를 만들어 아픈 환자 분들께
전달하고 있습니다.
Since 2011, our volunteers have made and delivered to the patients and Veteran's Hospital about 400 to 500 lap quilts a year and delivered them to sick patients. This year, we donated 5020 blankets to Melas on Wheels and received a certificate of appreciation and a party for the volunteers.
It would not be possible without the hard work and love of the volunteers.
KAWA provides a thread of charge, and we bring the finished products to out monthly meetings. We meet once a month on the second Tuesday of the month.
twice at Meals on Wheel and the third time at KAWA Hall.
We meet on the second Tuesday of every month from 10 am to 2 pm.
사랑의 음식 딜리버리
사랑의 음식 딜리버리는 The KAWA 한미 여성회 이웃봉사의 중심입니다.
매달 말기 암환우와 거동이 불편한 아프신 분들께 맞춤 레서피 한식, 건강빵 그리고 디저트를 제공하며 쾌차를 기원하고 있습니다. 또한 홈리스를 위한 샌드위치 배달도 한미여성회에서 꾸준히 하는 이웃을 위한 봉사활동입니다. 단지 음식뿐 아니라 저희의 사랑과 기도도 함께 딜리버리해드립니다.
Every month, we deliver customized Korean healthy meals and desserts to terminally ill cancer patients and sick people with limited mobility, packed with love and care.
Volunteers prepare side dishes and food for various patients, as well as specially prepared healthy breads and desserts by young volunteer student, and serve each meal with our love and prayers
for their recovery.
We also deliver sandwiches for homeless Neighbors,
which is an ongoing volunteer service of
the Korean-American Women's' Association.
We deliver not only food, but also our love and prayers.
바느질팀
아기배넷저고리, 엄마냄새하트 ( Since 2004 )
한땀 한땀 사랑과 정성으로 만들어진 한국식 아기 배넷저고리는 PIH 굿사마리탄병원 할리우드 차병원으로 새로 태어난 아기들을 위해 전달되어집니다.
This beautiful Swaddle jacket is made just for Babies by KAWA's volunteer group. Our Volunteers meet twice a month Tuesday with joy of sewing to provide warmth to our community. We hope our present of love will fill new Baby's heart.
Scent Hearts
Scent Hearts are given to the parents of who has their newborn baby is incubator at the intensive Care Unit in the hospital. Parents wear the scent hearts next to their skin, absorbing their respective scents. Mothers may choose to wear a heart inside a bra and Mothers and Fathers may choose to pin a heart to the inside of a blouse or shirt.
The hearts are taken to the NICU and placed in the isolates with the infants whereby the infants can continue to bond with the parents even when the parents are unable to be present
코바늘 팀
2022년에 시작한 코바늘팀은 목도리, 모자, 인형, 생활소품 및 가방 등 여러가지 실용적인 500개의 털 모자와 코바늘팀의 300개가 넘는 목도리가 우크라이나 전쟁고아와 청소년으로 전쟁에 나가는 아이들, 남편을 잃은 전쟁과부와 미혼모에게 전달되었습니다.
또한 양로병원 봉사를 나갈때 300개가 넘는 목도리와 모자를 양로병원
어르신들께 선물로 나갔습니다.
Started in 2022, the crochet team creates a variety of practical items and accessories such as shawls, hats, dolls, household items, and bags. Last year, Ms. Katarina Kang, one of the founding members of the KAWA's knitting team and knitting class members donated 500 wool hats and over 300 shawls from the crochet team to Ukrainian war orphans and children going to war as teenagers, war windows and single mothers who lost their husbands. In addition to that, over 300 shawls and hats were given as gifts to the elderly at the nursing home.
이웃돕기, 전화상담, Missionary
The KAWA 한미여성회는 어려운 이웃들과 아이들, 여성들 그리고 사회약자를 위한 많은 봉사를 하고 있습니다.
한미여성회 전화상담은 2004년부터 시작을 하였고, 이민사회의 어려움을 겪고 있는 분들께 실질적인 도움과 함께 상담을 하고 있습니다. 또한 한국 커뮤니티 뿐만 아니라 전쟁과 기근을 겪고 있는 많은 나라와 아이들에게 우리가 할 수 있는 도움과 사랑을 나누고자 노력하고 있습니다.
The KAWA serves the community, focusing on socially underprivileged.
The KAWA Korean American Women's' Association telephone counseling program started in 2004 and has continued to provide practical help and counseling to those in need.
